Ugborough is a thriving community with a variety of clubs and groups that meet regularly.
Ugbrough Fair takes place in the square on the second Saturday in July each year. Leading up to the big day is Fair Week, hosting a variety of fundrasing events from football to bingo. The gardening club meets monthly at different locations for informal talks with guest speakers, and organises a Annual Flower and Produce Show, held in the village hall at the end of the summer holidays.

Ugborough Football is a youth football club dedicated to giving local youth the opportunity to play and enjoy football in an atmosphere that encourages development, but also positive attitudes and behaviours.
A Charter Standard Club with around 80 members it provides 5 teams (U8 up to U16) playing in the Pioneer Youth League during the 2014-15 season. Coaching is by FA qualified volunteers and there are 2 Level two and 4 Level one coaches operating this year. Website here.
The club trains every Saturday morning at the Ivybridge Community College artificial pitches from 9.30-11 am and matches are normally played on Sunday mornings. The Home pitch is just near Hillhead Cross above the village.
The village walking group meet in the Square on the first sunday of every month at @11am and take a stroll through some of the local footpaths - well-behaved dogs welcome.
